FreshQue was founded in September 2018 on a simple but powerful belief: every child—especially those in underserved communities—deserves access to nutritious meals after the school day ends.
​
Our story is deeply personal. Growing up in a single-parent household in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, our founder relied on free after-school meals when food at home was uncertain. This experience revealed a powerful truth: hunger doesn’t just affect a child’s stomach—it affects their ability to learn, their confidence, and their future.
Inspired by this, FreshQue was created to close the after-school hunger gap for children and youth facing food insecurity. We provide consistent access to nutritious meals and supportive programs during the critical hours after school—when many parents are still working and food access can be limited.

Through strong partnerships with schools and community centers across North Texas, FreshQue ensures students have the nourishment and support they need beyond the school day.
​
Since expanding our after-school meal program in 2022, FreshQue has served over 226,800 nutritious meals to children and youth experiencing food insecurity. Each school day, we continue serving hundreds of meals, helping students stay healthy, focused, and ready to succeed.

What began as one person’s lived experience has grown into a trusted community organization committed to strengthening families, supporting young people, and building brighter futures—one meal at a time.
